Muslih (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an AI-assisted companion app that helps couples communicate, reflect, and grow together. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and shared, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account or using Muslih, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
This Policy is written to be read alongside our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app.
About the names in this document. Muslih is both the name of this app and the name of the AI that guides your paired sessions — private conversations you and your partner have together, with the AI helping you talk things through. Nikky is a separate AI for Friend Mode: a casual one-on-one chat that only you take part in (your partner is never included in it). Throughout this document, “counseling sessions” means the paired sessions with Muslih, and “Friend Mode” means the one-on-one chats with Nikky.
Muslih is operated by Syed Nadeem Ahmed (“the Operator,” “we”). For any privacy question, request, or concern, you can reach us at [email protected].
When you sign up and complete your profile, we collect:
When you use guided counseling sessions with Muslih, our AI counselor, we collect and store:
If you use Muslih's one-on-one Friend Mode chat with Nikky, our AI companion, we collect your messages and Nikky's replies, and we extract and store durable personal facts you share (for example, preferences or recurring topics) so Nikky can recall context in future conversations.
We do not knowingly collect precise real-time location, government identification numbers, financial account details, or health/medical records. Muslih is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or legal advice (see Section 10).
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your counseling or friend-mode content to market third-party products to you.
Muslih is built around a core privacy principle: your partner does not see your raw messages, transcripts, or friend-mode conversations.
Specifically:
We rely on the following categories of third-party providers to operate Muslih. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.
We choose providers that offer appropriate security and confidentiality commitments, and we only share the data necessary for each provider to perform its function.
You are in control of your data. From within the app, you can:
Where you do not request deletion, we retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, after which it is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Part of Muslih’s purpose is to understand what helps couples communicate and grow. To do that responsibly, we build anonymized, aggregated datasets about relationship and communication patterns. We want to be clear about exactly what this does and does not involve.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
To exercise any of these rights beyond what is available in-app, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), authenticated API access, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Muslih, our AI counselor, and Nikky, our AI companion, use AI to support communication and reflection between partners. Neither is a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical provider, and neither is a substitute for professional mental health, medical, or legal advice. If you are experiencing a crisis or need professional support, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency/crisis services.
Muslih is intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Because our service providers and infrastructure may be located in different countries, your information may be processed or stored outside your country of residence — including in the United States, where Anthropic (our AI processing partner) and Google/Firebase (authentication and push notifications) operate, and in India (Mumbai), where the cloud servers hosting our application and database are located. Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent to this transfer (see Section 13) and on contractual safeguards with our service providers requiring them to protect your information to a standard consistent with this Policy.
When you create a Muslih account, we ask you to affirmatively confirm that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, and separately, that you understand your messages in counseling sessions and Friend Mode are processed by Anthropic’s Claude models (operating from the United States) to generate the app’s responses. Your agreement to this Policy also acknowledges the research use of anonymized, aggregated data described in Section 7. We keep a record of when you gave this consent and the version of this Policy you agreed to.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised.
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, contact:
